Liskeevy

A commenter on this site (brentbiggs) helpfully pointed me to the Boston Pilot Information Wanted page, which is a database of advertisements for Irish immigrants. Apparently Luke Laughlin on the 16 of February 1856 posted an ad looking for his 3 brothers, Peter, Patrick, & Thomas. Luke lived in Brewer, Maine and him and his brothers came from "County Mayo, Parish Liskeevy, Townland Kilgevrin/Kilgiven, Barony Dunmoe, Poor-Law Taum".

Home County: Mayo
Parish: Liskeevy
Townland: Kilgevrin/Kilgiven
Barony: Dunmore
Poor-Law: Tuam

Thanks so much to brentbiggs for pointing me to this important resource! I'm excited to finally know the exact location the Laughlins came from in Ireland.
