Elizabeth Catherine Von Jacobs Tombstone

Myth and legend swirl around my 4th great-grandmother, Elizabeth Catherine Von Jacobs. She was born December 21, 1793 in Osnabruck, Germany. There she married Frederic Miller (or Mueller) although, another source, says his name was Henry Miller.

Family legend states that Frederic/Henry was a Baron and much beneath Elizabeth's standings. However, this has yet to be proven. Many other descendants of Elizabeth have similar (although, not exact) stories, ranging from being descended of a prince to a lady-in-waiting. Most of these nobility/royalty stories have been disproved.

Elizabeth and Frederic/Henry had five children that lived to adulthood Catherine (no info), Frederic (no info), Anna Marie Elizabeth (b. 1826 d. 1895), Mary Adeline (b. 1829 d. 1901), and Arnold Henry (b. 1833 d. 1915).

Elizabeth died December 19, 1875 and was buried with her son, Arnold Henry Miller and his wife, Mollie [Bellenger] Miller in the Fairmont Cemetery, Huntingburg, Dubois County, Indianna.
